- Jonathan M. Rothberg, Ph.D.
Founder and Chairman of the Board
Dr. Rothberg founded CuraGen Corporation in 1991 and is a Director for the company. Prior to his tenure at CuraGen, Dr. Rothberg served as a postdoctoral Fellow at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute's Boyer Center for Molecular Medicine. Dr. Rothberg earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a M.S., M. Phil. and Ph.D. in Biology from Yale University.
- Christopher K. McLeod
President and CEO
Mr. Mcleod has also served as Executive Vice President at CuraGen Corporation since 1999, where he oversees collaborative research and strategic business development. Prior to joining 454 Life Sciences and CuraGen, Mr. McLeod spent three years as Chief Executive Officer of Havas Interactive, a leading international software developer. Prior to heading Havas Interactive, Mr. McLeod served as Executive Vice President and Director at CUC International. Mr. McLeod received his Bachelor of Science in Economics and Engineering & Applied Science from Yale University, and received his Master of Science in Management from the Sloan School of Management at MIT.
- Frank M. Armstrong, M.B., Ch.B.
President and CEO, CuraGen Corporation
Frank M. Armstrong, M.B., Ch.B. was appointed President and Chief Executive officer of CuraGen Corporation in March of 2006. Dr. Armstrong joined CuraGen with than twenty years of experience obtained at major pharmaceutical companies, including Bayer AG and Zeneca Pharmaceuticals, and in the biotechnology sector. Throughout his career, Dr. Armstrong has successfully led the worldwide development, regulatory approval and commercialization of drugs across a variety of therapeutic areas including oncology, anti-infectives, and antipsychotics. He also currently serves as a Member of Faculty for ECPM (European Course in Pharmaceutical Medicine) in Basel, Switzerland and as a Non Executive Director of Avidex, Oxford, UK. Dr. Armstrong received his MBChB from the University of Edinburgh, He became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 1984 and was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh, in 1993 and was elected a Fellow of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Physicians in 1994.
- Robert E. Patricelli, J.D.
President and CEO, Women's Health USA, Inc.
Robert E. Patricelli has been a Director of CuraGen Corporation since October 1997 and currently serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Women's Health USA, Inc., a women's health services company. He is also Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Evolution Benefits, and serves as a Director of Northeast Utilities, Inc. From May 1987 to August 1997, Mr. Patricelli served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Value Health, Inc. Mr. Patricelli received his B.A. from Wesleyan University and his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
